I have Dell server Power edge 1640 fitted with a Saffhire Radeon 9250
128Mb PCI being used as a workstation
It had a 19" LCD in 1600 x 1200 mode and worked fine. I got a new 24"
LCD and it is optimised @ 1920 x 1200 x 60Hz and works great on
Windows(XP) videos and DVDS.
However when I try 3d Grfx particularly iSnooker which worked fine on
the last unit, after maybe 30 secs, the screen image develops
sparkles then blanks off, and cycles on and off.
I have checked EVERYTHING I can think off with no joy. It happens in
ALL resolution and ALL colour settings. It happens when EVRY other
possible program is switched off.
A) Latest drivers are fitted
B) Windows is up to date and scanned for malware / Virii etc.
C) Powersupply is fine.
D) Cable and all connection are fine. Card is well seated in PCI slot.
E) System has 4 Gb ram which checks out perfect.
F) There is sufficient HD space and it is defragged.
G) There are no IRQ conflicts and I have tried 3 different IRQ's
H) there are no registry or other issues.
Would anyone have any idea as to why it will not run correctly ?
Thanks
Eddie
