ati 8500 dv driver hell

I own a ati 8500 dv from Hercules, now after a few driver upgrades somewere along
the line My TV completely stopped working I cant put out a movie on the tv out
in theater mode.. just doesnt work... and my overlay controls have gone still there but they just
dont function anymore, I tryed alot of different driver versions from the ati and the hercules sites
to no effect.

everything used to work very well ??

I use win XP no service packs (for obvious reasons) Direct X has been upgrade to version 9
by Doom 3

anyone ??

Uninstall all
http://www.ati.com/support/drivers/misc/catalystutils.html

and try again with the newest Catalyst driver.
I have almost the same configuration and all works fine.

tnx, after four hours of stressfull work everything is working normal again,

TV, overlay etc.... just refusing to put out the video to TV was a problem
of BS player.. all other players are working fine.

The Only thing that still doesnt work are the overlay (color/brightness etc) controls ??
cant figure that out.........


man they really oughte make this easier ;(
