athlon 64

Is anyone aware of any known issues between Windows XP
Pro and AMD Athlon 64 processors? I have seen a few
warnings (people having to reformat drives after
upgrade), but nothing specific, and no solutions were
offered.

To use an Athlon 64 you will need a new M/B. With a new M/B you will need,
minimum, a repair install - probably a clean install!

Well, thats not correct. I moved the drive from the old system to the asus athlon 64 platform with only a reactivation to do.
 
This is in reference to what?
