I dont think there are any huge new plans since the M2 is supposed to
come out. I figured it would be delayed though. All you heard were
vague things about it though some articlles claimed it would intro-ed
on the first qtr of 2006. No way. If it was about to be intro-ed next
month or two there would relentless hype and leaks about it in tons of
articles. However I would imagine they will try to intro it this year
sometime.
I would be very suprised if AMD did not relaease a version of their
dual core Athlon 64 sometime this year. AMD needs to keep it's
technological lead if it hopes to retain it's market share growth

Yeah they probably will but I havent seen anything on it at all. The
prices are really falling on the X2s suddenly.
DELL had that coupon deal and someone posted a deal at FRYs that
shocked me $279 or something AND you get the usual virtually free
cheapo ECS motherboard too I think. Thats a great deal.
As the X2 becomes a more affordable processor for even mid-budget
systems Im sure they might come out with a laptop version for the
lower end as they move on to the M2.
I saw that motherboard as well on the Frys flyer...I was considering
buying the combo, but I need to to more research and take care of some
bills. But you can be sure the combo will go on sale in a few weeks
again at Fry's.
