Anyone know how to get rid of view.atdmt.com from coming up... I can't
go to Netscape home page or Google and any utility pages that have
anti-virus software? What could this be.
Thanks

Netsonic (web surfing speedup tool) installs atdmt stuff.
I'd guess other browser addons do the same thing.
If that's what did it you're going to have a bear of a time
removing everything.

See if this gives you any ideas, but please don't edit your
registry unless you've backed it up, after finding out exactly
what you need to do to fix your specific problem. I'm pasting
this link only to show you what's involved, not as a cure for
your dilemma.

Hoi,

You sure your HOSTS file isn't modified?
That can block some webpages, including those of anti-virus companies.
Some viruses modify the hostfile so you can't visit these pages anymore.

http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm
So I changed the HOST filename to NOHOST, also I turned the DNS
fromAutomatic to Manuel, still I can't get to those pages!
Perhaps I did something wrong?
Thanks

Try to delete all entries, except:

127.0.0.1 localhost

You can. On the Win2K platform I am using I have no 'hosts' file.

Perform the following in a Command Prompt...

tracert 64.12.37.146

Then copy the results and paste them in your reply.

Let's see where you are going...
