ata-133 on serial ata?

hi all
Im going to be getting an asus a7n8x deluxe, and i was wondering can i
connect an ata-133 hard drive to the serial ata connecter, do they give an
adapter in the motherboard box? And also can i conect optical drives to the
serial ata connecters

You need an adapter (not included) to go from normal parallel ATA to SATA,
but you won't gain much from doing that, unless you have 5 ATA devices.

I have heard that you can't connect optical drives to the SATA controllers
via the adapter cards, maybe they don't support ATAPI or something.
