Hey all,

Got an Asus SP97-V motherboard off of ebay. Jumpered it for an Intel 233 MX
processor. When I boot I get no memory count and the board quickly prompts
me for a system disk. I can't get into BIOS setup and if I try to use
PFLASH I get the following message: "Error: Can't Find System BIOS Hook." I
have double checked all the jumpers, changed the battery, as well as tried a
different processor and different memory, all to no affect. Anyone seen
this before? Is it safe to assume the BIOS is bad and therefore the board
is toast? Thanks in advance for your help.

Looks like you see the boot block BIOS in action.

You'll probably have to use another flasher (pflash2, or perhaps
aflash).
