Asus says "contact your reseller" on their website. I bought it from
Newegg and their site says "contact the manufacturer". I haven't had the
time to call Newegg yet. How do I get the factory warranty? Thanks.

If all else fails and you paid by credit card, get the money back off
the credit card company.

If it's less than 30 days then contact Newegg. Newegg is very helpful
if you need them. If it's been longer than 30 days (and you didn't
purchase an extended warranty from Newegg) than contact the manufacturer.

If it's anything like the way Tigerdirect handles it, if you have
recently bought the item and you want to return it within some certain
period of time, you first call the manufacturer. They will listen to
your story and try to troubleshoot, if appropriate. If they approve a
return, they will give you a reference number. You then call the
reseller and give them the reference number, and return the item to
them.

If it's after that initial period of time after you take posession, for
regular warranty issues, you would contact the manufacturer directly.

NewEgg doesn't take calls. ASUS deals through
resellers, and will not help you either. In addition,
your cpu and ram is not under the same warranty,
so you are now taking a chance that the mobo
is OK. They will charge you for the troubleshoot
and return it for a "fee". If you ever do get an RMA
approval, note the dire warnings about this as
you sign the agreement. I went through this 3
times with one of the ASUS "fly-by-nights". It
took months just to get them to reply, and then
several more months to get the RMA returns
.... which were nothing but refurbs ... and which
promptly blew the same way ( intermittant
rebooting over and over ). I lost about $600.

Newegg does too take calls. I had a problem with a monitor that I
bought from them and Newegg was very helpful.
