Please help me decide between these two boards.

They have similar features, similar performance and both get good reviews and seem to overclock well.

The Asus has Gigabit Ethernet but I am not sure that I need it for a home system.
The Abit is cheaper.

Please comment.

Best regards,
Alex

My personal experiances:
Never had trouble with an ASUS MOBO...
Thats me. I've seen others have issues with them....

I have had trouble with Abit boards.
They seemed to get flakey over time. IMHO

Please remember,
This is only *my* experiance and opinion anyone else feel free to
offer opinions.

The Abit has a 4 Phase PSU, the Asus only 3 phase..

The Abit has 5 PCI slots and all can be used with a Large 2 slot 3D card, with
the Asus you loose one of the PCI slots..,

Thw Abit has a chipset fan the Asus does not..

....which is of advantage to overclockers only - the others 'enjoy' the
additional noise of another fan...

<my 2 cents> Roy
