Hi,

Just need to upgrade a few things and re-use components that are here
lying around. With all other components being identical, how would these
systems compare in terms of CPU "computing power" ?

ASUS P5P800 (i865P) + INTEL 640 P4 FSB800 2MB 3.2GHZ BOX S775

ASUS P4P800 (i865P) + INTEL P4 3.2 GHZ FSB800 1MB Prescott S478

Any benefit of one over the other ? Heat dissipation/power consumption
differences ?

Comments welcome.

Lorenzo

get an Asus CT-479 adapter & P-M 730 or 740 & OC till it goes ...
[relatively cheap & effective with not much heating ..]

regardless, use the 775 board, it at least has a little more of a future
than the other.
