The BIOS in this old motherboard appears to have a 2 gig recognition limit
for some older hard drives such as Fujitsu MPB3043AT made in 1999, and
MPB3032AT made in 1998.

Has no problem with newer larger hard drives made form 2000 to present date.

Any suggestions how I can overcome this problem.

Which bios are you running ? Are you sure that it recognises the newer
driver and that its not drive translation software that enables the newer
drives to function. With the price of drives as low as it is, put a new
fast one and a ATA100 card into the box. You'll be glad you did. I have a
P5A/B here with a 30G and Promise ATA100 in it. Its the biggest upgrade
that you could do for these older boards. The box was ready for the scrap
bin about a year ago because it was so slow but with the new drive its a
great general purpose box.

If you have drives that you just have to use, go to the manufactures site
and see if they still offer translation software for them.
