I have the above Asus motherboard, which currently has 512meg PC2700 RAM
installed. I was going to purchase two more 512meg strips of PC 2700 RAM to
push the total memory to 1.5 gig. However, after checking out the website
of Corsair (the RAM I was going to buy), for the P4S533 motherboard there is
the following note:
"With the first DDR 333MHz memory support for Pentium 4, 533MHz FSB and
robust integrated features, the P4S533 Series unleashes a new dimension of
performance and value Fill only 2 slots at PC2700 speeds or higher."
The P4S533 has three memory slots. Does this mean with PC 2700 RAM I can
only use two strips? If I put 3 x 512 PC2700 will the 3rd stick be
redundant?
