Asus P4PE and large disks

My asus P4Pe with BIOS 1002 apparently lacks the extended services of
interrupt 13 to set a boot partition ouside a 1024 cylinders boundary.

Would upgrading to BIOS 1007 solve the problem?

How do you know? I find it hard to believe that any version of the BIOS on
that board doesn't support extended Int13..

You are right. It does. I forgot to boot in pure DOS before running he
extdisk.com utility that thell whether a Motherboard BIOS does support
the services or not. Running it from a pure DOS shell confirm that it does.
