Asus P4PE and ATI 7500 and 9600XT video corruption, please help!

I have the board and video cards in the header..........the 9600XT
completely corrupts the display by masking the output with blocky pixels
(small, but very regular)........I switched back my old 7500 Radeon
card and now it's beginning to ghost images to the right with a
windblown effect on bootup through the Win XP logon
screens............once WinXP is fully running, the display is
fine................any ideas on what could be causing this and more
importantly, how to correct it?

I have contacted HIS Digital about the 9600 XT as it's only 3 months
old, but at this point they haven't responded for over a week and 2
requests.

Thanks in advance!

definatly get the 9600xt checked out...as for the 7500, the only
common denominator is the actual cable, try another ? Having said
that, I would also try another monitor. Any monitor distortion on vga
or even ega is usually hardware related and that means the card,
monitor or cable...

You wouldn't have your video primary set to PCI instead of AGP in
the bios by chance. I had something similar on my P4PE and it cleared
up once this was set correctly

I believe it's set to AGP...but, I'll check.
