Asus P4B533 Memory problems

I have a 256Mb pc2100 Dimm installed and I tried to install a second Elixir
256Mb pc2700 Dimm but the computer won't boot and directs me straight to the
BIOS setup saying an error occurred. If I remove the new Dimm everything's
ok. I know it only supports pc2100 and pc1600 Dimms but I read about a lot
of people using pc2700 Dimms. Should a BIOS update help? Any suggestions?

I think the problem is that, I'm guessing, Elixir is a very inexpensive RAM
module, and it's probably having timing problems. Try higher quality RAM.
