Asus K8V Deluxe Cooler (PLEASE, HELP ME!)

I bought a Thermaltake Volcano 11+ cooler for my AMD Athlon 64 3400+ to go
with my Asus K8v Deluxe motherboard. Does this cooler compatible with this
motherboard? What should I do, the cooler wouldn't attach.

That cooler is for a K7 processor, it will not work on an Athlon 64.
Take it back and get a Zalman 7000 series cooler, IMO the best of the A64
coolers.
