Couple times in the past week my computer has failed to start up. I
am running Windows XP Home and when I push the power button on the
front to start up the two power fan turn on and that it. Does not go
past that point. I have to push the reset button or pull the AC Plug
on the back. Hit the power button again and it starts up ok.

System.

2 WD hard drives in Raid 0
AMD 3200+
1 gb of memory
cd rw drive
ATI 9600 SE card.

No new progarms or hardware have been added since this started.

Once the system start up it run with no problems.

Anyone else run into this problem with this mother board.

Any ideas before I take it back to the dealer.

It sounds like you may have an issue with power. Whats your PSU rated at? From
the looks of the CPU and the Raid set up I'd be willing to guess your system is
a bit on the power hungry side. Try seeing if you can swap out a higher watt
PSU and see if it fixes anything.

Well it is a 400 Watt in at present I may have to go that route first.

Thanks for the idea

I would have to agree with Arie on this one. Sounds like your PS is
being overstressed.

Unfortuatly all PSU's arent created equal. If you can, check it with a quality
PSU. A lot of the generic ones will post a 400watt rating but barely be able to
make it to 300 under real conditions. If you can, try getting your hands on a
Enermax, Sparkle or Antec.

Have you checked the capacitors ? There is a FAQ entry about
some RLZ0333 capacitors in the Vcore circuit, and maybe they
are having a problem. Check to see if the dome of the caps
is curved instead of flat like when they are new, or see if
there is a brown stain underneath the cap where liquid
electrolyte has leaked out.
