Are there any Web forums available for discussing and seeking help
with ASUS motherboards ? I'm trying to get a feel for how much
general help is available out there.

According to "Big Toe" on the Abxzone forums, there are
at least 18 private hardware forums, as well as the
USENET groups you are currently looking at. (He does
support for OCZ, one of the companies that makes memory
modules, and that is how many forums he checks every day.)

I wish there was a master list somewhere, because that
is all I remember off the top of my head.

And there are the forums at www.motherboards.org. While they are not
specific to ASUS motherboards, they are nonetheless populated by many
knowledgeable people who know quite a lot about all motherboards.
