I have the title mentioned graphics card in a simple machine I use for crunching.
My question is more along the lines of best practise. I followed two links ( one within the other) and found my drivers were out of date.
Now I have downloaded and begun to install. I am given the option to do a custom install. In the custom install it gives the option for a fresh install. I was just wondering which was best. Do I go ahead and install as normall, leaving all the old drivers intact ( good option if you have to roll back) or go for the fresh install ( assuming you still have the original install disk for the card ) ??

Personally i always totally remove old drivers before installing new. I'm taking Driver Sweeper in safe mode and all that.

Custom just means you can choose what to install. for example why install the 3D vision driver if your never going to use it. ;)

But thats just me.

I went ahead and did a clean install, but when looking at my temps they have gone from 44 celcious up to 50 degree's. Is this right ?

From changing drivers? Higher GPU usage now? Hold old were the other drivers?
