ASUS A9250 VIDEO CARD

The Asus A9250 uses an ATI Radeon 9250 chip not an Nvidia chip.
There are no vista drivers for ATI 91xx or 92xx chips since they would have
had to be written from scratch to include DX9 support which the ATI 91xx and
92xx chips do not have. The first ATI chip with DX9 support is the 9559.

JW just corrected me that it is an ATI gpu, so go to the ATI site to get the
driver. Sorry about that. Same idea though.

I have a typo in my previous post Vista drivers are only available for 9500
cards and above not 9559 and above.

I checked the ATI website at
http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=2&l2=9&l3=19
for the A-series cards and three 9250s are listed as you can see (AGP
interface).

None of them have Vista drivers. The driver model for Vista is different
from XP so you will need to get a Vista compatible Video card. My guess is
that this card is too old for ATI or Asus to support anymore. I checked
Amazon and some other online retailers and they all list these cards as
discontinued.
