Hi,
Has anyone succeded in getting WOL to work with the integrated Marvell
Gigabit NIC on the Asus A8V-Deluxe?
I have installed the latest driver from Marvell (v8.41.1.3) unsing WinXP Pro
SP2, enabled the WOL-setting and set it to "Magic Packet" through the driver
properties. Also, I have allowed Windows to put the NIC into standby and
allowed the NIC to force the PC out of standby (this was done on the Power
settings tab in the driver proporties as well). In the BIOS I have enabled
Power Up on PCI Devices. My PSU supports 3A on the +5VSB and I have only
enabled wake on keyboard (I actually tried and disabled this as well without
any luck), so there should be enought power to support WOL.
Still, the PC doesn't wake up. I have tried using AMDs Magic Packet tool and
another app called PowerOff 3.0. Using the latter I can put the PC into
standby, power-off etc. from another PC on the network, but the same app
used from the same PC can't resume the Asus-PC.
Do you have any ideas?
Regards
Anders
