Asus A7V what?

Hello group.

I have an Asus A7V motherboard with "rev. 1.02" labeled on it. I need to
know EXACTLY which A7V this board is. The bios was improperly flashed and
I'm replacing the chip entirely, with the correct bios version. Apparently
there is some confusion with the A7V133 board. My "rev. 1.02" does have the
Promise chip like the A7V133 does.

I need to know EXACTLY which bios version needs to be put on it.
 
At least my A7V133-C has it printed on the mobo (and ver. 1.05. ) so if
your says only A7V , it is A7V , the original in that series..

Your MB is the classic A7V, I have the ver 1.01..I believe I did get a
Athlon XP 2100+ to run....the bio's showed it as a Duron. You need VERY good
cooling!!! I sold the Athlon XP 2100 and now running a Thunderbird 1.2
ghz...again good cooling!!

Thanx for the tip. It's going in an Antec 1030B full tower with an Athlon
950. The Antec case does have two intake fans, two exhaust fans, and two
in the power supply. The cpu heatsink/fan is 'factory' AMD aluminum style.
I don't plan on overclocking.

Yep sounds like the A7V classic to me, make sure you run the latest
beta bios.
