I've just fitted this motherboard and there is a whistling noise through the
audio out socket.

Any suggestions?

When you say *whistling sound*, do you actually mean that it's coming
through the socket or your speakers? If it's air coming through the socket,
then you don't have enough exhaust fans in your case.

However, in the more likely event that the sund is actually coming out of
your speakers, do you have the correct audio and chipset drivers installed?

Is the problem coming from feedback on one of the line-in channels? Have
you tried turning them off if they aren't used?

Make sure you don't have a motor, TV, etc. too close to the machine.

You can also try a different sound card.

Good luck.
