Asus A7N8X deluxe. Help needed

I have just install a new AMD 2.4+ Ghz with the Asus motherboad. Ram 512
DDR400. 40 gb Maxtor HD and 128MB of v ram. My problem is that after twice
after restarting my computer....at bios the computer just went blank. (twice
it detect my amd cpu as 1800+ instead of 2400+) anyone know why?

Now each time i start or restart my computer... i can just hear the fan
sound and a very high pitch sound just once... (not the ordinary beep) after
that nothing happens...


I hope that someone might help me out with this problem as i have to wait
for a week before my next off to bring it back to the retailer... :(

Set jumper on mobo to 266/333/400 setting, not 200.
Clear the CMOS, See your mobo manual on how to do this the correct way!
A XP2400+ would use a 133 x 15.0 setting in bios, if it's using
something different then set BIOS to "user defined" mode and adjust FSB
and CPU multiplier.
