Associated html page and directory?

When I save a html page there is a html file and an associated directory.
How can I delete the html file without getting the associated directory
deleted automatically?
 
You're saving as "Web page complete" and the files in the folder
are associated with the saved *.html file. Not sure why you want to
delete one without the other as they are linked, but if you rename
one or the other they become disasociated, and can be deleted
individually.
