Just started playing with ActiveX Command Buttons, with a
view to adding macro code to them to do simple functions
within Excel (Versions 2000 & XP).
According to the Help in XP, I should be able to do the
following in Design mode: "Right click on the sizing
handles of the button, then choose 'Assign Macro' from the
shortcut menu."
Unfortunately I don't get to see the above entry, so I
have been forced to use the 'View code' option, then copy
the macro code into the button code. This works ok, but...
Why doesn't Excel do what it's Help says it will do?

Roger,

The Assign Macro option is used for command buttons from the Forms toolbar,
not the Controls toolbar. For buttons from the latter, use View Code and
put your code in the button's Click event procedure.
