Using GP, can I assign a specific letter (D:) to all CD drives?
Currently all CD drives use E:. Making the change in GP would be a
lot quicker than making the change on each and every computer locally.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi Debby,

There is no GPO setting that will change the drive letter of a machine.
However, if your servers happen to be Windows Server 2003 you might consider
the use of this WMI Script from the script center.

Change the Drive Letter of a Volume
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/community/scriptcenter/dfs/scrdfs72.mspx

NOTE: This script will not work on Windows 2000, or XP.

For these machines you can remotely connect to each machine using
compmgmt.msc and change the Drive Letter in Disk Management.
