Assertion Failure in Icewind Dale

Does anyone know the cause of the error message "An
Assertion Failed in chvideo.cpp at line number 9586"? I
am getting it when I play Icewind Dale for a while. IT
throws me out of the game, but other than that, the game
runs fine! It is really fustrating!

"This particular error appears to happen most frequently on
computers with an AMD processor when saving or loading
a game. It may happen when switching to your inventory as
well." They have fixed some potential causes with this patch:

Hi Jimmy, I have Heart of winter installed also. The
patch said not to install if HOW is already installed. I
have the HOW version 1.41 installed. My computer is a
pentium 4 1.6ghz. Is this a problem with the game or
with windows XP? Thank you for the help.
