ASR Backup. Can it be scheduled?

I recently implemented a disaster recovery procedure which includes an ASR
backup every week. But I am doing this manually...

My question is if an ASR backup can be scheduled just like a normal backup
procedure in NTBACKUP?

But why do you need every week an ASR backup, normally you do it after install
and then after major changes to the system.
