No, Don't do it. That account is needed for the asp pages on the web server.

you're on about?! It has nothing whatsoever to do with the web - 'net' is
short for NETwork, not internet. It was installed by the NET Framework,
which is completely unnecessary unless, as I do, you have programs which
require it.

The new Windows 2003 servers with IIS need the ASP.NET account to access
certain features in ASP web pages. Many features in my ASP pages would not
work because I accidentally deleted this account. I could not figure out how
to put this account back on even after reading much documentation. I had to
reinstall many components.
So please to your research before you "think" you know what you are talking
about.
