Hello all,

I'm looking to subscribe to this magazine and was hoping I could get some
feedback about whether it is a good subscription.

Appreciate any feedback.

Cheers

I think its an outstanding magazine except they make it difficult to
send them feedback or ask questions via their website which is garbage.

I've subscribed to it since its inception. The magazine is decidedly a C#
ASPNET magazine.
The editor, Elden Nelson, has had editorials telling the readers to wize up
and switch to C#. The main columns that appear in each issue
"AskthePRO"-Jeff Prosise, "CoreCoder"-Dino Esposito, and "ExtremeData"-Dan
Wahlin are all C# every issue.

So, bottom line, if you are a C# dude, you'll love it. If you're a VB.NET
dude, it's less useful since you are "translating" mentally into VB.NET as
you read through the samples which gets old.

Actually, Elden has left asp.netPro. As I understand it, he got kicked
upstairs at his publishers.

asp.netPro is one of the few magazines that I actually find something
useful in every month.

An earlier commenter mentioned that their website is "garbage," but one
good thing about it is that if you are a subscriber you can get to all
the back articles which is an incredible resource.

From what I understand Elden has taken a job with Microsoft.

And I see a lot of VB.NET articles in that magazine, not just C#.
