John

I am a programmer and needing to explain what is need to
the tech side of the house what is needed to run asp.net
pages on the server.

From what I can tell you need the .net framework and
asp.net installed on the server. I think the .net
framework was installed as part of an update and possibly
the asp.net portion. Is this correct?

Is there any licenses that need to be purchased for the
server to run ASP.net?

thanks

John,

The .net framework (free) includes everything you need to serve up asp.net
pages.
The server has to be IIS (of course) and the same IIS liscensing applies.
There are no additional liscenses necessary to use the .net framework on an
IIS server.

Sincerely,
