After i tried to get acces to all my folders in Windows Vista (on my own PC
at home) I now get a screen asking me for my ASP.NET Machine account
password. I also need this to install programs or even to install Windows all
again. I have tried the two passwords I always use on my PC but they don't
work. How is this possible? Does a system on my PC make it's own passwords?
And where does ASP.NET come from? Can anybody help?

Why are you trying to log into the .NET account?

The said account is created when .NET 1.1 is installed.
It is not there for you to manually log into.

I don't want to log in there, but the computer is saing that i must login
there to be able to install programs etc. (on my own PC?!?!).
XP installed .NET framework after an live update. I don't need the program
and can't get rid of it because of that d**n password that it created itself.
So if i can get .NET framework 1.1 and 1.3 update out of my system, that's OK
