ASP.NEt And MSAccess compatibility

Hi,
I have an Access database and am having an ASP.NEt application written for
it. It is almost complete. I have a hosting company that I signed up with
a month ago but before I did anything I asked them if Access and ASP.NET
would work on their servers, they said yes so I bought in. Now they are
saying my application wont work on their servers using MSaccess and I can
only use SQL or asp 3.0. They are saying Microsoft is trying to keep Ms
Access as a desktop application. The database is done, and the app is
almost done. I have paid alot of money for this application. What are my
options here?

How hard is it to convert an Access Database to SQL? What ramifications
does this have on the ASP.NET part?

How hard is it to convert to asp 3.0?

I was also told XML would work. DOnt know anything about it.

What about other hosts?

Any other options?

I just cant believe this.
Any help and insight would be greatly appreciated.

MSAccess would and should work, though its not the best solution for
database requirements.
If you signed up with host for use of Access and they are not providing it
any more...
Move to someone else who does...

http://www.hostonce.com (the hosting plus domain registration costs 80 USD a
year...) and you can add multi hosting option (doesnt cost a lot) where by
you can buy another 5 domain names and add it to you account.
Each domain added btw has 500 megs of space.. MS Access or MySQL is
supported by default. You get a control panel which allows you to create
MySQL DB and set odbc connections if you use odbc connectivity
25 gigs of data transfer a month
and i havent had much issues with them
you dont have 24x7 phone support but online support where you can post your
queries or problems and they do set things right.
 
Some web hosts that I deal with will not allow you to access an Access
database from ASP.Net. They claim it is a security issue. You are left
with either using XML or MSSQL as your data source if you want to do this
with ASP.Net. On the other hand, some other web hosts allow you to access
Access from ASP.Net.

Perhaps you need to change providers if you are determined to use Access as
your database.

I am switching to one who can provide what I need. They did mention
something about their server settings and security restrictions.....not sure
what that means but I am moving anyway.
