ASP in Sidebar

I'm tinkering with the idea of using Gadgets in the sidebar. Is it possible
to insert Active Server Pages content into the sidebar using a gadget?

I've tried a basic HTML page and that works, but any HTML that uses active
content fails (blank screen).

Ideally, the sidebar could display content from our intranet server which
uses ASP.

Just throwing some ideas here (and maybe I'm pointing out the obvious), but
since the ASP is running locally within your sidebar, you'd need IIS to be
running locally as well to execute it... That's what I'm doing on XP with
an embedded toolbar (docked vertically) that points to
http://localhost/whatever.asp

I see where you're coming from, but in my case the ASP is running from an
intranet server running IIS so the 'gadget' should redirect to the web server.

I suspect that is not going to work, since the sidebar is designed to host
local HTML gadgets, not to be a host for remote web sites. Having said
that, please feel free to post your question over at
http://microsoftgadgets.com/forums/10/ShowForum.aspx, where you can expect a
more authoritative response. There may be some workaround that will enable
your scenario.
