Aser aspire wont boot up after update

Hi there i was looking for some advice on this please. I updated my aser 5535 laptop last night and now it wont boot up at all, I have checked the hdd and all ok also screen ok. but ive read bout bios getting corrupt on these. is there any was of recovering this ive seen links to people using flash stick with bios update but not sure if these will work on mine thanks
 
Does the laptop POST ? Are you able to boot into Safe Mode ? Which OS ? Vista or W7 ?
 
No laptop wont boot at all even in safe mode. nothing on screen at all.
It was running vista with a win 7 ultamate upgrade.

just ran a normal windows update, closed down laptop after then wouldnt start next day!
 
this is fixed for now i removed hdd / ram / fan and proccessor and re-install components booted up ok, but im going to get some thermo paste as not much left on cpu
