article 829977 - A memory leak condition occurs when you run COM+ 1.0 on a
computer that is running Windows 2000 SP4

When trying to run the hotfix for this on windows 2000 server, I'm having a
problem.
It doesn't run on windows 2000.
Do you have a solution for this problem?

I would focus on the Windows newsgroups, as you are more likely to get an
answer in those groups.

My first thought is to check the version of COM+ on the machine. If I
remember correctly, one of the optional patches to Windows 2000 (in 2002)
installed version 2.0 of COM+ (IIS cumulative update?).

Not sure what you mean with it doesn't run, do you mean you can't install
the hotfix, or does the hotfix doesn't solve the leak?
What exact version of the framework are you running? Note that this hotfix
is included with SP3 for v1.0 and SP1 for v1.1 of the framework, so you
shouldn't install the hotfix but install the SP.
Are you sure you encounter the same Memory leak, or is your problem only
related to the hotfix?

Willy.
