Ok... below is the result of saving the jview command to a file

This will most likely say that this particular computer is updated

That's not my point... the process Microsoft describes in their
bulletin, and which works for everything else I have found, is a
way for an administrator to download and save updates to install
on new computers as needed without being connected to the 'net

I use a swap drive setup to install different software on any of
3 drives (right now, may add another drive or 2 some day) and want
to be able to install all the critical updates I have downloaded
BEFORE I connect to the internet... especially those updates which
have to do with the internet and fixes to ward off virii and such

The links in article 810030 even point to instructions on how to do
this... but the problem is that when I follow the instructions, the
update does not show in the catalog for me to download and save

Does anyone know why?

Partial Results of jview > j.txt
Microsoft (R) Command-line Loader for Java Version 5.00.3810

Usage: JView [options] <classname> [arguments] Options: /?

Did you try jview in the command prompt? Go to the command prompt at C:\
and type "jview > jview01.txt" w/o the quotes and then paste jview.txt into
your response.

I assumed your point was that you needed the fix in the article you posted.
As you saw you have that fix. Oh I have re-read what you just said. I did
not get that from your OP.

Basically you want to install this update in a system that has a new install
before you connect it to the Internet and this fix is one that you want? It
doesn't appear in the Update Catalog because it no longer exists at
Miicrosoft.
