Does anyone know how to add arrows to cycle diagrams in
Powerpoint 2002? I have been walked through this before,
but cannot remember for the life of me how to do it.

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello Nathan,

To change the shape of the nodes of a Cycle diagram do the following (do
this only after all other editing of the diagram has been completed):

1) Mutli-select each node of the diagram (SHIFT+CLICK)
2) On the Drawing toolbar: Draw -> Change Autoshape -> Block Arrows ->
Change Shape to Circular Arrow
3) On the Diagramming toolbar: Layout -> AutoLayout <this will turn off the
AutoLayout feature for this diagram>
4) Select a node of the diagram and use the adjustment handles (yellow
diamond shapes) to adjust the length and width of the Circular Arrow shape.
5) Repeat step 3 for each node in the diagram.

FYI: In Office 2003 the Cycle Diagram tool defaults to using Circular Arrow
shapes so that this is not necessary.
