Arrgh Windows mail wont work at all!

Hi guys and gals, just got my computer trying to set up email and its having
none of it, my passwords etc are fine....what on eart do I do?

Account: 'Virgin Email', Server: 'pop.virgin.net', Protocol: POP3, Server
Response: '-ERR Authentication failed.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server
Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

Hope someone out there can help :D

so they cant be the same thing I would start a seperate thread or any
answers we get might get confused with each other.....best of luck!

You have the SSL option enabled. Verizon doesn't work with that.
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that mail account, Properties,
Advanced. Uncheck the SSL option (two places).

That is an entirely different problem.
 
Hi and thanks, I have changed them both to mail.virgin.net and now im getting:

Account: 'Virgin Email', Server: 'mail.virgin.net', Protocol: POP3, Server
Response: '-ERR Mailbox Temporarily Unavailable - Please try again later',
Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

I double checked my password etc via net and its correct, any additional
help very welcome! :D
 
If you havent already then please could you start a seperate post regarding
your issue to prevent confusing, it is not the same issue that I have that I
started this post about.
