Here is a link to a really old article that talks about the arp cache
life...
139415 New TCP/IP ArpCacheLife Parameter in Windows NT
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=139415
I haven't seen anything about this in a while, and it isn't listed in the
newer articles, it might have been removed. But I think the behavior is
still 2 mins and 10 mins. Arps are arps regardless of if it is the DG or
not, as far as I know.
Anyone else?

Hello All,
Does somebody know the behavior of arp cache in W2k?
I mean mainly for DG? I know that arp cache entries are
checked against time stamp and then removed but how this
works with default gateway? How long it will stay in
cache before sending another ARP request for default
gateway?
Thanks and Regards,
Daniel
