Are you using WEP to protect your home network

It's worth enabling MAC address filtering too - it's very hard to get past that :thumb:

err, nope, dunno where you got that from, but MAC filtering is a trivial to bypass ... some wi-fi inexperienced security consultants claiming it to be a good protection ... shame on them guys.

its also a good idea to turn off the SSID broadcast
Huh!

An extremely weak form of wireless network security is to turn off the broadcast of the SSID: to the average user there does not appear to be a network in use; it is however still readily available to crackers using the appropriate tools.
Come on folks ... this is "simple" reading here.

You wanna stop any hacking ... unplug the damn thing from the internet.

Hackers dont advertise they are a hacker. They just do it.

People that say they are hackers and advertise it are not only bloody stupid, they dont have a clue either ;)
