Are Usb memory sticks the new Floppy ?

Well for newish pcs i would guess so, the one that has the boot from
them option in the bios.

Would be cool if it was standard put one in and it would boot from
that before the floppy and or anything.

Maybe in the future.

Well, IMO, you boot from the CD, use the Plash dirve for portable file
transfer.

Would be.

IMO, it would be as simple as making one think it is a bootable USB
floppy drive with a floppy in it.
