I'm constantly getting an application pop-up...here's what the event viewer says
===============================================================
Application popup: OPXPApp.exe - Application Error : The instruction at "0x00774798" referenced memory at "0x0000001c". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program

Click on CANCEL to debug the program

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

=============================================================

I've gone to help and support and it makes no sense at all...I even went to www.eventid.org to do some further research. Still confused. Anyway,

what I'm wondering is, is the occurance of this event possibly the cause of a problem with my Microsoft Kernel Wave Audio Mixer. The message

I get from the Device Manager is:

The driver for this device might be corrupted, or your system may be running low on memory or other resources. (Code 3)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

==================================================================

I'm running Windows XP Home Edition SP 1 Celeron 2.5 GHz 376 Meg RAM.

I'm not sure they're related. OPXPApp does not ship with XP - it comes with
OmniPass software (which usually ships with scanners). You may want to
contact them for help with why it's crashing.

Thanks. I found out what it was last week, uninstalled the sucker and
haven't had a single (count them...zero..zilch..nada) crash since. I am so
happy... XP is now finally functioning the way I want it to ... now if only
I could make it more like Unix... :-)
