Do duo-core mobos exist that use PCI - not PCI-E slots?
While this is not the best all-round motherboard for
every Core2 application, this does have PCI slots.
This is my 4CoreDual-SATA2 R2.0 motherboard, which only
goes up to FSB1066.

You can use the Newegg motherboard page, use the "Advanced Search"
function, then specify Intel, LGA775, and how many PCI slots you want,
and it'll tell you what is available. I purchased mine
because of its cheapness, and not because of the PCI slots.
I've even managed to install Win98SE on it, which shows
you it has a certain "legacy" leaning to it. You would
probably want something with a better chipset on it. I
even get two IDE interfaces with that motherboard, as well
as two SATA ports. It's a bit low on SATA ports, but suits
my collection of IDE devices just fine.
Happy hunting,
