Are there any wireless adapters which connect via lan ports?

I have just bought a cheap cut down pc containing a propriety
motherboard. I want to get it connected to my wireless 54Mbps
broadband router using a wireless adapter. The problem is that the
motherboard does not have any pci slots so I can't add via that route.
There is a built in lan port but I don't want to connect it via
network cables so I'm looking for an alternative solution.
Do wireless adapters exist which can plug in to the lan connection

Does the PC have USB? There are USB wireless adaptors, e.g.

A wireless access point will (or another wireless router), and you would
bridge it to your wireless router. They require their own power supply,
though. But at least you won't have to run cables.

A wireless access point would have an ethernet connection. USB would
be cheaper.

USB wireless adaptor, or a bridge.

If you are happy with the performance of your router, you might
investigate whether it also supports this mode. In other words,
many routers can do this, but remember to turn off it's DHCP
function. By adding another router in this method, you not only
get the needed feature but also an expanded coverage area.

It is not obvious what you are trying to achieve. Most if not all
suggestions involve another "box" and a connecting cable. But you
already have a router, so why not just connect the router to the LAN
port? You say you don't want to connect via cables, but why? I really
don't see any way to convert the LAN port to a wireless port such as
you would have with a PCI card.

My main pc is connected to the lan port of the router. The additional
computer is down one floor and getting a cable to it would involve
extra hassle which is why I want to link it wirelessly.
Fortunately, there are usb ports spare so I'm going to investigate the
suggestions given by the other repondents and hopefully get one cheap
off Amazon.co.uk(I have vouchers).

Well, another option would be to get a wireless NIC for the "main"
computer, move the router downstairs to the older computer and connect
it to the LAN port. One wireless PCI adapter for the "main" computer
will probably cost about $15.

The problem with that course of action is that the cable entry point
to my house is upstairs where I use my main pc. I could extend it but
that would mean adding extra cabling.
I think an usb wireless adapter would be the way to go.
