Are the cookies really gone?

I know it sounds like a DUMB question...But never the less, I have several
people use my machine. And when I go through and delete all of the cookies
and temp files I still have problems with "porn" pics popping up.
There is no software installed to draw this up that I can tell. I have
actually formatted and reloaded my machine and it was good until my cousin
was "surfing" on it. So how do I get rid of any cookies that may be
installed when other people surf on my pc? Or is there something else I have
to delete?
Thanks, M.L.

You may have spyware/adware or a browser hijacker on your computer. Try
Adaware, Spybot and Spy Doctor. They are all free at Download.com. Get the
updates for each before running them. Make sure all bad doo-doo found are
checked when fixing or deleting them. Then lock down your pc with a password
:)

First eliminate any spyware.

CAUTION!!!!! Removing some spyware can damage the Winsock stact. Before
you try to remove spyware using any of these programs , download a copy of

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

Hi Mandi :-)

In addition to Greg's suggestion, you should also get HiJackThis and run it.
And you should definitely install a log-on password as Greg suggests, so the
other people cannot use your machine for such browsing. Just as a word of
caution, their visits to some types of this nature could get you into a lot
of trouble, as their visits can be tracked back to, and from, your machine.
