Are stock heat sinks and fans good enough for overclocking? (and are they loud?)

Hey folks,

I'm getting the Athlon XP 2500+ which I plan to overclock to 3200+. I was
wondering if I got the retail version which comes with a Heatsink and Fan,
will they be good enough? I mean, will they be ok with the overclock?

Also, the whole setup will be going in an Antec Sonata case which
specializes in quietness. Will that fan be really loud (compared to the
competition that is in the < $40 range)?

If you folks think I should get a different heatsink/fan, can you guys
recommend a quiet but good one that can handle overclocking, and that is
less then $40 (am I asking for too much?).

Thanks a lot!

Can't comment on stock hfs as I've never used one. I'm running a
Zalman CNPS7000A-CU with fan at around 2300rpm and it's very quiet
and gives excellent cooling, £32 in uk, don't prices where you are,
maybe over your budget.
My case temps are around 26C and cpu core 47C at 1.75 vcore, see sig
for speed. I had an all copper one with heatpipes, I can't remember
what make it was, but cpu core was like 65C at current speed, and it
sounded like a jet engine.
Case is Lian Li 6070 which is a quiet case like yours, buy oem and
put the money you save to a quiet cooler, it's worth it when you've
bought a quiet case.
