I need to replace a toner cartridge for my Brother HL-1440. I can get a
genuine Brother high-capacity toner cartidge for under $60. I also see
that "remanufactured" toner cartridges are maybe 20% cheaper (when
shipping is factored in.) Are they any good, though? And what does
"remanufactured" mean, anyway?
I also see toner refill kits are even cheaper. They sound messy,
though, and my pages are coming out a little gray now, so I'm thinking
of avoiding that.
Also, what do I do with the old toner cartridge once I've replaced it?
Can they get recycled? I'd rather it not end up in a landfill if I can
avoid it.
