Are Powerpoint Presentation's burnable to play in DVDs?

Is it possible to burn a MS PP presentation onto a DVD and then play that DVD
in a standard DVD player on a TV, and click through the slides by hitting
fast forward on the DVD player hooked up to TV? Would be nice to not have to
lug laptop to meetings for just one simple presentation...

No, you can't do that. The format of a PowerPoint file requires a computer and
either PowerPoint or the PowerPoint Viewer to play it. DVD's are an entirely
different format. If there is a computer available at the site you're visiting,
you could carry an autorun CD instead of a laptop and just load the CD.
Everything runs from the CD, only Windows is required on the computer, and
nothing is stored or installed on the computer. See

I understand MSPP is not setup to do this. What I am wondering really, is if
there is a way to export the PP presentation to a video file, then I can use
other software to burn a playable DVD.
